OneSource

Terms of Service

Effective October 8, 2026

1. Agreement

These Terms of Service (the "Terms") are an agreement between you and Youngwoo Kim ("OneSource", "we", "us"). They apply to the OneSource website and service (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

2. Who can use OneSource

You must be at least 13 years old, or older if your country requires a higher age to use online services without a parent's consent. If you are under 18 (or the age of majority where you live), you may use the Service only with the permission of a parent or guardian, who agrees to these Terms on your behalf and is responsible for any purchase.

3. Your account

  • Give us accurate information when you sign up, and confirm your email address.
  • Keep your password private. You are responsible for everything that happens under your account.
  • One account is for one person. Don't share it or sell access to it.
  • Tell us right away if you think someone else has used your account.

4. What OneSource does

You tell OneSource what you are trying to learn and, if you like, attach your own material such as notes or a syllabus. OneSource uses artificial intelligence and search tools to find a video that fits, and shows you the best match with a short explanation. We don't host the videos; they belong to other people and play on YouTube.

Results are produced automatically and can be wrong, out of date or not a good fit. OneSource is a study aid. It is not professional, medical, legal or financial advice, and we don't promise any grade or learning outcome. Please check what you find, and follow your school's rules about how you may use outside help.

5. Plans, credits and payment

  • Plans. We offer monthly subscription plans (currently Starter, Nerd and Genius). The price, monthly credits and daily file-upload limit of each plan are shown on our pricing section and at checkout. Prices are in US dollars, and taxes may be added.
  • Credits. Each search uses one credit. Your credits reset to your plan's monthly amount when your subscription renews. Unused credits don't roll over. A search that fails, or that finds no good match, doesn't use a credit.
  • File uploads. Your plan sets how many files you can attach per day (the Starter plan includes none). The daily count resets at midnight UTC. Files attached to one search can total up to 4 MB.
  • Extra credits. You can buy extra credits (currently 50 for $2.00) while you have a plan. They are added to this month's balance and, like unused plan credits, end when your subscription renews.
  • Billing. Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance and renew automatically until you cancel. Payments are handled by Stripe. In many cases Stripe acts as the seller of record, collects and pays sales tax and similar taxes, and appears on your card statement. Stripe's own terms and privacy policy apply to the payment.
  • Changing plans. If you upgrade, you are charged the prorated difference right away and get the extra credits straight away. If you downgrade, the lower price starts with your next bill and this month's credits stay.
  • Cancelling. You can cancel any time in Settings. Your plan then ends at the end of the billing period you have already paid for, and you keep access until then. You won't be charged again.
  • Refunds. Except where the law requires otherwise, payments are not refundable. If you think you were charged by mistake, contact us within 14 days of the charge and we will look into it in good faith. Our payment provider may also handle refunds and disputes under its own rules.
  • Price changes. We may change prices or plans. We will tell you before the change takes effect for your next renewal, and you can cancel before it does.
  • Failed payments. If a payment fails we may pause your access until it is resolved.

6. Your content

The questions you type, the files you attach and your chats are your content. You keep ownership of it. You give us a limited permission to store and process it, and to pass it to the service providers named in our Privacy Policy, only so we can run the Service for you.

You promise that you have the right to use what you submit, and that it doesn't break the law or anyone's rights. Please don't upload other people's private information, confidential material you aren't allowed to share, or anything unlawful.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • break the law or infringe anyone's rights, or upload malware or harmful content;
  • use bots, scrapers or other automated means to use the Service, or put an unreasonable load on it;
  • get around limits, credits or payments, or use the Service in a way that costs us money without paying for it;
  • try to access other people's accounts or data, probe the Service for weaknesses without our permission, or interfere with how it works;
  • try to extract our prompts, models or source code, or copy or resell the Service;
  • use the Service to harass others or to cheat in a way your school or exam rules forbid.

8. Third-party services and links

OneSource finds videos using YouTube API Services. By using OneSource you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Google's use of information is described in the Google Privacy Policy. Results link to videos run by other people. We don't control them and aren't responsible for their content, accuracy or policies.

9. Our property

The Service, including its design, software, name and logo, belongs to us or our licensors and is protected by law. We give you a personal, limited, non-transferable permission to use the Service as these Terms allow. Nothing in these Terms transfers any of our rights to you.

10. Ending your use

You can stop using OneSource at any time, and you can delete your account in Settings. Deleting your account permanently deletes your chats and remaining credits and cancels your subscription immediately, without a refund. We may suspend or close accounts that break these Terms, put the Service or other people at risk, or that we are required by law to close. We will give notice where we reasonably can.

11. No warranty

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we don't promise that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or that results will be accurate or suitable for your purpose. Some places don't allow these exclusions, so some of them may not apply to you.

12. Limit on our liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for lost profits, data or grades. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, or any consumer rights you have that can't be waived.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. For important changes we will tell you by email or in the Service before they apply. If you keep using the Service after the change takes effect, you accept the updated Terms. If you don't agree, you can cancel and delete your account.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of New York, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and disputes will be decided by the courts there. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the place where you live.
